Coming soon...

...Jon's new snowflake book! Keep your eyes peeled, tatters!

I am honored that I was a test tatter for some of the snowflakes in Jon's new book, and let me tell you... they're wonderful! Those of us who test-tatted have been given the go-ahead to share what we've done, with the note that these are test-tats. Jon may have altered the designs based on our comments and scans.

Sneak peek...

This was the first one I tatted. While I really like it in person, the scan just doesn't do it justice. I think it may be because of the white on white... and the poor job I did of blocking. Scans just seem to pick up every little detail, and I guess I'm not as much of a detail person as I thought. ; )

Trust me... Jon's is much prettier!

  1. Diane, thanks for the heads up. I love the blue "outline" of the snowflake, and I'm very sure it's lots prettier in person. :D

  7. I think it's beautiful. I've been wanting to buy one of Jon's books online, but I just wasn't sure if the patterns were going to be ones I could accomplish. Might have to get one to try it . . .

  13. Diane, I really like the white and blue together. That's a "cool" idea.

I had so much fun testing for Jon. I felt like I was "tatting with a purpose".

Sounds like it doesn't have much complicated tatting - the snowflakes are delicate + quite lovely!
