Adan

I must be in the mood for white snowflakes!

Adan is the second pattern in Jon Yusoff's Elegant Tatting Gems.

I don't think I'll ever make it to Tatting Marie's number of snowflakes. If I remember correctly, she has made approximately 2,000, and there were more than 900 on her Christmas tree last year. That's a blizzard!

Looking back to that Christmas season post, I can see that I have tatted white snowflakes. Who knew? ;-)

  1. Yea I hear ya, I'm afraid I have only done around 30 at once I gave two sets of 12 for the 12 days of Christmas then a few for gifts of one, for separate friends. You know I got a lot of complements by using a size 80 thread, and hanging it from the car rear view mirror.

  4. Thanks for the snowflake stats from Marie! That might be a world record! I'm guessing the tree stays decorated, although it may be moved somehow to storage (?) I would love to see it in person!

You seem to knock these snowflakes out in no time! This is another pretty design. Can't go wrong with white!

  6. Gorgeous. Tatting Marie is amazing alright, her tree must've looked out of this world. I agree with Kathy, you can't go wrong with white!

  7. Beautiful snowflake! Making enough snowflakes to fill a tree seems like an awesome project - but it would take me *years* to complete!
