1/3

Isn't it looking great? I really am enjoying this pattern. Even though it is very large, it has been a very easy pattern to follow. I'm really looking forward to seeing my sister-in-law's reaction to it on Christmas Eve!

I was saddened today to read of the passing of Jan Stawasz. I have both of his books and some of his shuttles. I greatly admire his work, and I'm sure there are many in the tatting community who will miss his talent.

This fall has been incredibly busy, and I've been enjoying every moment! I do take time to read all of the blogs I follow every day, although not all at one sitting. I have been aggravated by the fact that I can only leave comments on about half of the blogs I visit. I wonder if it is a problem on my end? I suppose it's something I'll have to investigate when I have a little more free time.

I probably won't have time to post again before Thanksgiving Day. The festivities are at my house this year, and I'll be spending tomorrow cleaning, shopping, and prepping for Thursday. I love Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I can't wait to see the finished doily. It is beautiful so far. I hope you post a picture of your sister-in-law's face when she opens it. I'm sure it will be awestruck. Hope you and your family have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving.

  5. I'm so impressed that you chose to do this doily, knowing that this last round would be a lot of work! But you're tatting it perfectly and it is lying perfectly flat, which would bring confidence in continuing on! This is a masterpiece in the making!

  6. The doily is looking lovely!

I haven't had trouble leaving comments on any blogs. Have you noticed whether it's a problem with blogs that use a particular style of comments, i.e. embedded below, separate page, or pop-ups? If it's a problem with the pop-up window comments, I suppose the settings on your pop-up blocker could have accidentally been changed somehow. I'm not sure what would do it on anything else.

  7. I, like you, have had difficulty leaving comments. I cannot help wonder if it is the bloglovin feed.

  8. I've found that on bloglovin blogs it works best if I right click on the 'leave a comment' and open a link in a new window.
    Fabulous doily!
    Happy Turkey Day!
