Much better!

I am happy to report that I successfully tatted Snowflake #1 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz!

There are no extra picots, no extra bits of chain, just a pretty snowflake! I even finished the ends the way I like this time, incorporating a jump ring and a pretty little S hook from Wirestorm Creations.

Dave jokingly told me that he could tell the difference, but I know that he could look at the two for hours and not see anything awry. Still, I took the time to please myself!

  1. Good for you! I'm with Dave - can't see the fault! It is lovely twice. : )

  2. I can only see it because I did the same type of thing, on another pattern I did when posting all those snowflakes. Maybe it's because we are now professional snowflakers :)

  3. Oops I forgot to say this is just beautiful and I like the little picots at the top of this pattern!

  4. I only saw it because you told us about it, but of course once you've seen your mistake you have to go and do it over again. Plus I always prefer snowflakes hanging from one point instead of between two points, but that's just me. And of course everything looks better on a blue background!

  6. Good to know you can perfect it, even if the rest of us don't notice the mistakes.

  8. Totally gorgeous and the perfect snowflake, I really love this pattern, is it from a book may I ask?
Don't worry I have the same here, vernon would not tell if something was not right either. I have been drawing out a new pattern of course until the hand heals I can't even try it so I have to image how it might look. He looked at the drawing upside down and said what is it, he can find out what I can try tatting as long as he does not throw away my drawings.

  9. I wasn't looking for the fault, just think they look beautiful, very elegant. We can't always tat perfectly everytime and who cares?!

  10. Very pretty snowflake. Like the rosette with the clovers and chains.

  11. I don't see any faults either, but one has to tat to one's own satisfaction. They're both beautiful.
