Taking a hint...

I was reading Jane's post about protecting the edge of her knitting, and I thought it was a great idea for holding the bulk of my Jan Stawasz Masterpiece while tatting. It's working out great! Thanks for the tip, Jane!

I'm making pretty good progress with my Enders scarf from Sequence Knitting. I LOVE this blue! I was going to give it as a gift, but I'm thinking of being selfish and keeping it for myself. :-)

  3. The plastic bag is a great idea in theory for me, but in practice, more trouble than it is worth! Also, it made my hands all sweaty in the summer weather. The tatting always crept out of it as well. But, it might work for you!

  4. Your blue scarf looks like "Tardis" blue from Dr. Who! And your tatting in the plastic bag is definitely "bigger on the inside" ;-)

  6. Great idea for the doily!! :)
Due to having the same addiction to blue and that blue being so perfect, I think I would be a bit selfish too!! :)

  8. Beautiful blue, I think I might keep it for myself and knit another one for her.
Your doily is working up lovely not sure if I could work on it while its in a bag, although I do keep all my tatting or knitting in a bag when not working on them

  9. Masterpiece indeed Diane! I like to hold the weight of larger laces by draping the piece on my arm while working. It doesn't protect the tatting as such but it does "hold the bulk" as you say.
