Pride goeth before a fall

I've been working really hard to finish round 17 of my Jan Stawasz Masterpiece this week. I was very proud of myself for finishing early this morning, then I went to the ironing board...

Will you look at that? An extra ring two times in a row! I keep asking myself how this happened. I checked and double checked each section. The offending part has been snipped, and I will finish this round today. I think I'll check all the way around before starting round 18!

  1. Argh! I would blame it on Christmas busy-ness. This will be so amazing when done and you have really worked hard!

  2. Enthusiasm and exuberance let the extra rings fly in . . . .

  3. Oh dear. Such a shame. So near and yet so far.

  4. Oh dear, how your heart must've sunk! Good for you for sorting it out and pressing on.

  5. Oh, no! How aggravating! I just hate when this happens. At least you found it now and not as you were doing the next round.

  6. So very easy to do! I can't tell you how many times I snipped-to-fix the Monster I tatted. I became so used to mistakes on that pattern that I found I now do not consider my scissors as the enemy! They actually saved the day so often. : ))

  7. Oh no! I can fully understand the sinking feeling when discovering this! For me this happens all the time, and I too don't understand how it could. Must be the mind being elsewhere. But I'm sure it will not show that much after your correction.
