Today was an organizing day. I worked on my desk, which I had neglected for way too long. I pulled everything out and put it in a box, then worked my way through all the clutter. I probably threw away half of what was in there. It's not finished, but it's much better than it was!

I managed to tat two Ice Drops today. This is the basic pattern with three picots. I do love this shuttle from Rita Richmond of Shuttle by Design!

The second one is the basic pattern done in one pass. I like both, but the top one is my favorite. This shuttle is from Middy Clark of The Knotted Vine. I love the weight of this shuttle, and I like that it can be plain or have the background in one of six colors. You know I just had to have blue!

  1. It’s good to go back to basics, in tidying and icedrops! The basic pattern is perfect for showing off that pretty thread.

  2. Love those shuttles and yes with tatting it's fun to have short color changes so a small project can vary quickly. Sometime you barely get it done and you haven't been through all the colors yet.

    1. I do love the shuttle! When I get a little extra set aside, I'd love to have them in every color!

  3. Sometimes choosing thread slows me done but if I also had to choose shuttles like you... how do you do it? Well done you for all that tidying!

    1. Choosing thread colors can definitely do me in! Choosing shuttles is a little easier... until I try to match the thread to the shuttle!

    1. Doesn't it accumulate at an amazing rate? I'd be in big trouble if I had to downsize quickly.
