Mmm... this one reminds me of a lemon drop!
I finished Camryn's hat today. I'm not a fan of pale pink, but Camryn loves this color and I think it will look good on her.
On to the next hat!

I finished Camryn's hat today. I'm not a fan of pale pink, but Camryn loves this color and I think it will look good on her.
On to the next hat!
Is it wrong that when I look at this I crave a Dreamsicle? I think not!
I finished Jaden's hat this morning, and it fit him well. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it. I guess I can't remember everything!
Yesterday was another family day. My sister and brother came down for a visit. We had great fun reminiscing about life in Philadelphia and Elmhurst, two great places to live when I was a kid.
Another ornament has been added to my tree. I'm very pleased that I will have enough tatted ornaments for all my family and friends next Christmas.
I'm still crocheting hats for the kids at school, but Larry didn't want a hat. He asked for a scarf. I must have tried five or six different patterns, none of which were to my liking. I finally settled on a simple back loop double crochet. I think Larry will like it!
Today was a very busy day. I was able to spend about an hour with Tollway Tatters, and then Dave and I headed over to his sister's house for a long overdue visit. When we returned home, I finished the ornament I had started during the Tollway Tatters meeting. It's not much for one day, but it's better than nothing!
Another ornament is hanging on my tree! I truly am enjoying making these little button ornaments.
I finished a hat for Leticia last night. It's a little big on her, but she liked it so much she decided to keep it.
After finishing Leticia's hat, I started one for Jaden. I was able to finish his hat before leaving for school today. Unfortunately, it was too big on him. I'll start on a new one this weekend.
Leticia's brother Roosevelt tried the hat on, and he was very pleased that it fit.
I sure am having fun!
I finished my Country Cottage Beanie today. I love the way it looks, and it was perfect for our band director, Kelly.
Yes, I managed to tat another button ornament today. I have another one started, as well as another beanie.
My list of beanie requests is growing, which is making me very happy!
I also crocheted a hat. My shy model is our middle school secretary, Rhiannon. She's not really shy. She was just being silly. Her husband, Neal, was in third grade when I started teaching in Grant Park. I crocheted a hat for Rhiannon a few weeks ago. It only seemed fair that Neal should have one.
Now I need to finish my Country Cottage Beanie!
There wasn't much time for crafting today. I am working on a hat that I hope to finish tomorrow. Before heading out this morning, I managed to finish a button ornament. It's nice to be able to finish something small every day!
As planned, I finished the same hat in two different sizes. They don't look very different, but one is definitely smaller. That is the hat that Rigo chose.
Our art teacher goes by the nickname Cap. She really liked the extra hat, and it fit her. So, I brought it home and attached a pom pom. I'll give it to her tomorrow.
Today was a good day for tatting!
I had time to tat two button ornaments!
Another ornament is finished! I can't believe that I really like the pink center. Pink is obviously growing on me.
I started a new hat for Rigo today. I think I might make two different sizes. I know that extra hats won't go to waste!
I forgot to blog last night. Maybe it was because I fell asleep in my chair quite early... so did Dave!
Today is Mom's 91st birthday! My sister drove down last night and we spent the day enjoying each other's company. We had originally planned to go out for lunch, but Mom decided she wanted me to make grilled cheese. So, we stayed home and had grilled cheese, potato chips, and birthday cake. It was perfect!
This afternoon, we all drove up to see the house that my nephew and his fiancé are purchasing. It's a very nice little house, and it gave us a destination. I think Mom really enjoyed her birthday activities!
Needless to say, I didn't have much time for crafting today, but I did manage to tat an ornament!
Tonight I'm blogging before I start exploring the Internet. I don't want to forget!
I opened up my computer to blog last night, but I was distracted and forgot to blog! I guess I am too easily distracted.
I started at the bottom left of the box, because that's where the beautiful blues started. I'll probably work across the rows so that I don't forget which colors I've used.
Yesterday morning I finished my Chain, Chain, Chain Cowl. The yarn is Stone Soup Worsted, color Slate, from Bare Naked Wools. Although there was a lot of plant matter that needed to be taken out of the yarn, I really enjoyed working with it. It's a blend of wool, alpaca, llama, tencel, bamboo, silk, and bison.
I finished another hat during Crochet Club yesterday. I think daughter Carol is going to claim this one. It's made out of leftover yarn from the green fingerless mitts I made for Joanne and the grey fingerless mitts I made from Carol and Rigo.
Crochet Club is going well. Avery has started a temperature blanket. Exia is working on a heart pillow. Delaney and Kennedy are working on scarves. Everyone is is practicing technique, and all seem to be having a wonderful time!
I kept busy today... doing laundry, organizing paperwork, cleaning upstairs, cooking, and crafting!
We've had very little snow so far, so I decided that I'd make some of my own... tatted snow!
I blocked my Chain, Chain, Chain cowl this morning (sorry, no pictures), and I hope to finish it up tomorrow. There are so many projects I'd like to try, but I decided to go back to my Garter and Eyelets scarf that I started several months ago. My goal is to finish it in time for Valentine's Day.
I worked on my crocheted beanie today. I'm pretty sure I won't have enough of the green to finish it, so I'm thinking of finishing it with grey. We'll see what inspires me when I get to that point!
We had an absolutely gorgeous sunrise this morning. I normally can't get good pictures of sunrises or sunsets, but this morning it worked.
I only finished one project today, the last ornament in Apple Pie.
Night time lighting doesn't work well for showing off the ornaments I've completed so far, but you get the idea. of how much progress I've made.
Today was filled with Christmas undecorating, mostly by Dave! I was a good wife and watched from my chair.
My ornament a day streak continues. I'm nearly finished with this color thread. I may have enough for one more ornament.
Another hat is finished. I hope to make one more this weekend. After that, I think I'll be able to stash my hats for next year's gift giving.
Daughter Andrea requested a cross bookmark as a gift for a friend's daughter. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. Andrea said this was perfect!
Today was a sub day, and I still managed to tat an ornament!
I also finished another hat!
Now I'm ready for bed. Good night!
It's becoming routine to start my day with tatting, which is helping my 2023 ornament collection to grow steadily.
I finally finished Peyton's hat this morning. She loved it!
Since today was Crochet Club day, I started another hat right away. This one is for Tyler. I have five more hat requests, so I think I'll be busy for a while!
Well, apparently I forgot to blog yesterday!
