Next up on my bookshelf is Tatting the Jewels: Necklaces, bracelets, earrings by Annamaria Riccardi, published in 2013.
I am fascinated with tatted jewelry! I haven't tatted many jewelry pieces, but I love looking at the pictures and patterns.
I remember tatting earrings for my mom and some of her friends years ago, but I can't remember which pattern I used. The pattern is called "The Coral pink earrings" and can be found on page 24. As you can see, mine are not coral pink!
I'm not sure where my earring findings are right now, so I'm storing the two pieces in a bookmark sleeve so that I don't lose them. Bookmark sleeves sure come in handy!
My button ornament for the day was finished before lunch time!

I tatted quite a bit of jewelry at one stage, but I found they tended to stretch out of shape over time and look scruffy. I think regular jewelry tatters might use a different kind of thread? I hope you find your hooks soon so those pretty earrings can be worn.
ReplyDeleteI think I do remember tatters choosing something other than cotton for jewelry. Maybe it will come back to me!
DeleteBella l'idea di fare degli orecchini con il chiacchierino. Così sono belli leggeri. Andavano molto di moda anni fà.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many pretty designs! I don't wear a lot of jewelry, and my ears swell up if I try to wear earrings. So, I don't make much.
Deleteti ringrazio molto . Questo è il libro di tatting che ho pubblicato
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful book. I know I have one more of your books, but it's probably still in a box. I promise to post a picture when I find it!
