And now for a book in French, translated as Tatting: delicate and precious from 2005.
There are lots of lovely motifs in this book. I decided to start with a triangle. It doesn't look quite right to me, but I think it might be because of the multi-colored thread. Aside from the motifs, there are some beautiful doilies, edgings, and baby gifts. The designs are diagrammed, so I don't need to learn French to tat them!
Today ended up being busier than expected, but I did manage to finish another button ornament. I feel so accomplished!

You have a lot of languages in your library! Hooray for diagrams. Your triangle looks a bit lopsided, I think it’s more than the thread. But the button ornament looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteAs I looked at it after my post, I think that one of my joins is too tight, which pulls up the one side. Next time I will tat it in a solid color so that I can more easily see what I am doing.
DeleteHai veramente tantissimi libri di chiacchierino a disposizione, non rimarrai mai senza uno schema o un'idea da poter realizzare
ReplyDeleteI have too many books, too much thread, and too many shuttles! I'll never be able to use it all, but I do enjoy browsing through my books, and the threads and shuttles are all beautiful little works of art.
DeleteI like your triangle! I think there is an incorrect join looking at the top clover left side.
ReplyDeleteAnother great ornament!! I think you are doing well on your ornament stash!! :)
