Tatting didn't happen today. Dave and I did get the plants we planned on purchasing today, plus a few extra. I planned on joining our Tollway Tatters meeting when we returned home, but I couldn't get an Internet connection.
Instead, Mom and I went grocery shopping, and Dave planted potatoes. After lunch, Dave roto-tilled the garden beds in preparation for planting our new trees and bushes. We then spent quite a bit of time determining where the plants would go. We've decided that we do need a few more plants to fill the spaces, but that will probably wait until at least next week.
With a few minutes to spare here and there, I managed to finish the fifth strip of my patriotic quilt. I only have three strips left to finish, and then I can begin joining the strips. I realized today that our seniors only have two weeks of school left, and they're the ones most interested in seeing my finished quilt. Can I finish it before they leave school? I'm going to give it a try!

We missed you today! For some reason facebook messed up and made the Apr. event disappear. Not sure how or why, but I noticed on whichever one told me it was today and I clicked on it(I usually go in through the event page, but didn't for some odd reason today) that no one had said they were going to be there, so I put a message on the Tollway Tatters facebook page and ended up with 7 of us. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope your day was great!! :)

I'm glad so many attended! Our Internet was in and out all day, and I have no idea why.
DeleteA shame you missed the meeting but you seem to have had a busy, productive day anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt was busy, but so much fun!
DeleteDiane, I'm always amazed at how much you accomplish. Your quilt is spectacular!

DeleteYou got so much done you make me feel tired! The quilt is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI don't have much else to do now that I"m retired. I'm having great fun with the quilt, and I'm already dreaming of my next quilt project!
