Regarding my L-S-M-er shuttle on my blog you wrote "Lucky you! That shuttle was going to be my second purchase of the 2008 series." Most the major lace vendors are there and you can look at all the things you see online first hand...they even sell rubber stamps with tatting designs...so many shuttles, and thread...so little time. Stitches West was in February in Santa Clara, CA. If you log on to knittinguniverse.com you can find out when and where next year's Stitches West will be held. My daughter and I have gone the past two years and really enjoyed ourselves! There are classes, but they're kind of expensive, and I'd rather buy materials and books and figure things out on my own. I think it costs $10 to get in, and then the sky's the limit as far as looking goes! Alison and I limit ourselves by taking the amount of money we feel we can spend and a canvas tote to carry our goodies. If it doesn't fit the budget or the tote, we pass it up.
