Queen of Hearts
When I read Snowy's review of Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior, I remembered that I had "Queen of Hearts" from this book on my blocking board. I made it last year, but was so disappointed in my tatting attempt, that I just set it aside. I found it this fall and decided to block it, but the mistakes drove me crazy, so I never bothered to take it off the board!
Yes, the mistakes still bother me, but I've made up my mind that I'm going to use it. I'm just not sure how!
By the way, if you don't have Tatting with Visual Patterns, try and take a peek at someone's copy. I think you'll agree with Snowy (and me) that it's a gem!
Honestly I don't see your mistakes I'd have to look really closely to figure out what they are! That is really pretty! I've been wanting that book for a while but haven't gotten it yet!

Thanks, Melissa! If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you'll see a twisted mess on the bottom, a missed join near the top, and some places where it just won't lay right! Still, I think it's a very pretty heart pattern, and I will make it again! I really think Mary Konior's books are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteYou know what Diane? I cannot see the mistakes and I think this is quite a lovely motif. Thank you for showing it!
ReplyDeleteI too have this book and I enjoy it immensly!
The mistakes are well hidden. It is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the book and got it the other day and WOW I have to say I love it too! It is an awesome book! I'm going to have to start a list of my fav tatting books too! LOL
