I really set out to crochet a small doily, but as I was looking through my books I found this pattern, and it just called out to me! My friend Denise's favorite crochet motif is the pineapple, so I think of her whenever I see one. Denise has made several of the bookmarks from this leaflet, but this is my first one. I know this is not a typical pineapple color, but it still looks pretty to me!
Nice pineapple! That's my favorite crochet motif as well. Non-traditional colors are good!
ReplyDeleteVery Nice Pineapple, Diane!
ReplyDeleteMan, you've gone from being a tatting machine to being a BLOG-POSTING machine, girl, you are all over the place!!! I was just over at eTatters and you'd just posted a few pics and a blog post over there....whew...I can barely keep up with you! I'm all worn out now...just kidding. The pineapple looks very nice and I'm sure you're pineapple motif-lovin' friend will just adore it.
ReplyDeletePineapple fever was handed down to me from my grandmother - crocheted or tatted, I love them. You did a good job and I like the color. I'm with Tattingchic - you are all over the place!
ReplyDeleteLove the bookmarks! Every time I look at your work, Diane, it makes me want to learn to tat--then I remember that it requires sitting still for long periods of time :) LOL One of these days....
ReplyDeleteLot's of posts to catch up on ...YAY!
ReplyDeleteYou can make that pineapple in tatting too!
It is a very nice pineapple and it is also a very fine coloured thread.
ReplyDeleteI love how you showed this photo! Great visual comparison :)
ReplyDeleteOH, that little pineapple is so cute! I love the colors.
