This is a Thanksgiving table scarf that Mom just finished weaving for my sister Janet. Isn't it gorgeous? Mom found a mistake when she was finished... remember that blind man on the galloping horse, Mom! ...so she's planning on weaving another with no mistakes. I am so lucky to have such a talented Mom!
Oh wow! That's gorgeous! Who gets the "mistakes"? LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are very blessed with your talented mom. I'm with Grizzly Mountain - who gets the mistakes?
ReplyDeleteJanet and I would gladly accept any of Mom's work, but if she feels it needs to be perfect, why should we question her need to give us the very best? Yvette, my handsome nephew Erich's fiance will probably get the "mistakes"... that is if Janet is willing to give them up!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is incredible. What a lucky gal that sister of yours is. That is a beautiful piece of art and what an heirloom! A family treasure for years to come...oh, yeah, that's what an "heirloom" is...LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning! I want one too.

I agree with everyone elses comments. One other comment; how about a picture of Mom at the weaving loom weaving the next one, it would be fascinating to see. Thanks for showing us.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! Great job Diane's mom!
ReplyDeleteIt is so exquisite! We must remember that it's those little "mistakes" that remind us that it is handmade!
