I was browsing through
A Pattern Book of Tatting by Mary Konior and thought Primrose Path would be a fun doily to tat. This is the center motif in Lizbeth size 20, color #117. I guess I'd better go find my Lizbeth stash to find a coordinating color for the next round!
Oops! Now that I've looked at the picture close up, I see that I attached one of the four motifs backwards. Oh, well! I'll pay closer attention next time.
UPDATE! The motif that is backwards is also missing a section of chain. So, I cut out the bad section and I'm redoing it. I'm so glad it will look right!
Primrose path is a wonderful design and your tatting showcases it to perfection! Looking forward to seeing it progress.
ReplyDeleteEverything you tat makes me want to tat one too! Problem is, I can't keep up with you. You're too good!
It's fantastic how you keep me on my toes...and keep dreaming of beautiful lace projects to come.
It's beautiful
ReplyDeleteAh! This is going to be so pretty! Love the colour of that blue.
ReplyDeleteAs Isdihara said, you really do keep one on one's toes!
You keep sending me back to Mary's books and I am reminded every time that I am so lucky to have them.
There are such treasures inside.
Fox : )
Pretty colors, Mom!
ReplyDeleteIt looks good! I hadn't noticed the missing chain until you pointed it out! Of course, you might need that picot in the next round, so it's probably good that you're fixing it. (It still looks good!) Looking forward to seeing the rest.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful pattern!
