Tulip crochet hook giveaway
I love thread crochet! I do crochet with yarn, but only out of necessity. I'm fascinated by Irish crochet, and my favorite crochet designer is Patricia Kristoffersen. Her dimensional doilies are challenging and unbelievably beautiful!
I am also obsessed with beautiful tools! A couple of years ago, my friend Denise told me about Tulip crochet hooks. We were both looking for the hooks with the gold tips, and I found a set! It's not complete, but I have 18 gold tipped hooks, and let me tell you, they are fabulous! Who knew that a touch of gold would make it easier to crochet?
Anyway, while on my quest, I found and won a box of size 6 Tulip hooks on eBay. These are older, and are not gold tipped. However, they do have a metal tip protector. I know crochet hooks don't take up a lot of space, but do I really need a dozen size 6 crochet hooks? No!
So, my question is, would you like to own one of these? I'm going to give away six of them now, and maybe I'll give some more away later... I just can't bear to part with all of them at once! If you'd like a chance at one, leave a comment on this post. I'll draw six names on Tuesday, August 17. That way, I can get them packed up and mailed off before school starts on Thursday.
Good luck!
P.S. - Attention tatters... they're great for joining picots if you're using a shuttle without a hook or tip!
Oooh, I'd love a chance to win one of those hooks. I love crochet too and it's many years since I've done any 'real' crochet - like in Irish crochet.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, big sister has got there before me! Yes please would also like the chance of winning these crochet hooks.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance at your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would love a chance to win one of those. I too am a fan of Patricia's designs and love how intricate they can be. Thanks for your generosity.
ReplyDeleteI would like a chance at one of these Diane.
ReplyDeleteThank you
I'm always in need of a new tool :) Thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteI would be honored to own one of the crochet hooks. Thanks for offering them to us, Diane. Enjoyed seeing the wedding pictures. What a beautiful family you have.
ReplyDeleteI am a really big knitter and have every tool imaginable for that hobby. I even have some crochet hooks for ends and pickups, etc. But none of the crochet hooks I use for my knitting are small enough for joining picots in tatting. My dear sister gave me one (size?), but it sure would be nice to have a backup (especially since I have two daughters who also tat and 'borrow' my things).
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane! I'd like a chance to win a crochet hook. I'm not familiar with Tulip hooks. They sound good and you gotta love a company that puts them in that neat, flat, little box. If you decide to give away the cardboard box, put my name in that hat also! :)

Ooooh me me me me ME! Pick me! It's my birthday today, so this would be the most awesome gift. *hint hint* ;)
ReplyDeleteBTW, on your recommendation I read 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' and am now devouring 'The Girl Who Played With Fire'. Can't wait to pick up the third book!
My tattoo is a stylized tulip so I think it would be appropriate to enter this! In fact, to win it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane, this is nice of you.
Fox : )
What a lovely giveaway! I would love to win one of these.
ReplyDeleteHow generous of you! I'd love to have one of the Tulip hooks. Thank you so much.

ReplyDeleteI have lots of crochet hooks, but don't think I've ever seen a tulip Brand. I'd love to have one to take for a test crochet.
ReplyDeleteWould like to be considered for your give away. Have a few hooks but not that size. Congratulations on your blog - I like reading it. Robert Kent, in northern Iowa. (rjkent at netamumail dot com)
ReplyDeleteI love thread crochet too and focused on that for 30+ years before I figured out tatting, though I do still crochet. Would love one of those hooks - even though size 6 is bigger than I usually use, I'm sure I'd manage to crochet something with it! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would like a chance to win! I do like irish crochet.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these. Sounds interesting to crochet with...
ReplyDeleteHow very kind of you to offer this giveaway.

So these are fine crochet hooks. Good - am now picking up my shuttles and hook to work with fine thread (after a year of quilting, no more than one year).
ReplyDeleteOh, Diane, yes, I would love a chance to win one of these lovley crochet hooks. Thanks for the chance...
ReplyDeleteI have never used tulip hooks before. I do love to crochet and was looking at my books thinking about another sampler for crochet. It's a great giveaway and I would love to enter.
ReplyDeleteDiane thanks for commenting on my tatted frame. I am using it for the cover of my sampler book. It's not sewn in yet just pinned in place for the moment.
I read your blog all the time and would love to win one of the hooks.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, please! I've been thinking of shaking out the kinks in my doily crocheting...
ReplyDeleteI love to crochet and would be honored to win one of your special crochet hooks. However, it would be extra nice if I could learn to tat and use the crochet hook. This is a very unique giveaway. Happy crocheting...
