My lace has been shuttle-fied!
Yes, ladies and gents, I am the proud owner of two new Tatted Shuttles from Chris Hinton at The Shuttle Shop! I sent Chris some pieces to play with a couple of weeks ago, and I am thrilled with the way they turned out!
The small shuttle is 2-1/8" by 1-1/8". The thread is DMC 70/80... I'm not sure which. The larger one is 3" by 1-3/4". The thread is size 40 HDT from Krystledawne. I'll be testing them soon, and I'll let you know how much thread they hold, etc. I'm so excited!
Update: I just wound an incredible 21 yards of size 20 Lizbeth on to the small shuttle!
I recognize that thread...... Dr. von will be pleased to find out that her thread has been forever preserved :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are cool shuttles by the way!
Those are so amazing! I think that would make tatting much more fun, and they would make great conversation pieces too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely shuttles you lucky girl these would really inspireyou to Tat.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I love the idea of preserving the tatting :)
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome. It is a fantastic idea, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteWow, cool and awesome shuttles, great idea! What fun to tat with them, and to show them off!

ReplyDeleteFox : ))
Ooh, those are so awsome! Can't wait to get some of my own tatting shuttle-fied :) What size thread have you used for the small shuttle?
ReplyDeleteOh those are lovely! What size threads did you use in each of them? I think I need to try stumpy as my motif!!! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThose are AWESOME! You know what else is cool about them? Seems like every time someone shows an interest in what I am doing, i.e. tatting, I am on the very first ring of a motif. It would be great to just lift up my shuttle and say, "THAT'S what tatting looks like."
ReplyDelete:) Ann
They look GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteWow they look awesome! Now I really have to put the fire burners on and get my motifs finished. ^_^
ReplyDeleteAren't those fabulous. I've turned greeeeen with jealousy. Tat's a lot of thread, too.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting your tatting displayed on shuttles! Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe 21 yards of thread capacity...that seems almost scary (grin).
I lurve these! Now I must save my pennies and make MY OWN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look wonderful. That is an amazing amount of thread on such a tiny shuttle. Happy tatting...
