Hearts and Flowers
Several months ago, when there was no snow on the ground, Cindy sent me some lovely napkins for decorating shuttles. I loved the way those shuttles turned out, so I decided to finish some more.
I was very pleased with the way these turned out, but something seemed different. Guess what? I forgot to separate the layers of the napkin, so these shuttles have a very different look. All three are decorated with the same piece of napkin, which had beautiful flowers on it. Denise gave me the heart "crystals," giving the name hearts and flowers to these shuttles. I've decided to keep the butterfly for myself. The purple shuttle is for Denise.
Guess who the third shuttle is for? I can't tell you yet, because you have to leave a comment and have your name drawn in order to win it! I'll draw a name sometime between now and Sunday. I want to mail the shuttle off by Monday so that the lucky winner receives it in time for Valentine's Day. Good luck!
Aww, that's generous of you! Pretty shuttles :) I never get anything for Valentine's... Hope I win!
ReplyDeleteWow. Looks like you have been having fun with your snow. I need to post some of our snow pictures, we had some amazing drifts!!
ReplyDeleteWheeeee, more decorated shuttles! The world NEEDS these (they might not know it yet, but they do). Those are all really pretty. I'm glad to hear you separate the layers of napkin. I made some and had a hard time getting the napkin to stay stuck because the top layer was sort of waterproof and kept bubbling away from the shuttle surface. I'll have to try that separating thing.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me for your shuttle giveaway. It'd be fun to get the napkin (and shuttle) back to Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteDiane,

ReplyDeleteHi Diane! Your shuttles are sooo pretty! Someone is going to get really lucky!...I love mine!...I spotted some snow in the post below. I have to go see! xo Paulette :D
ReplyDeleteMy son lives in Chicago. He said it is the most snow he has ever seen. The most snow I have seen was in the mountains of Utah. We drove on a road where the snow on the sides of the road were at least 12' tall! I have no idea how they plowed it. I get warm fuzzies when I see all the snow and cold outside and can sit down by the fire and tat. It's really good therapy. And I really enjoy reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty shuttles and a very kind maker.
ReplyDeleteHERMOSAS, realmente se ven bellas con ese decorado en decoupage. Felicidades

ReplyDeleteIsn't that interesting that they turned out so differently due to not separating the layers of the napkin. I am glad to see you've been having such fun decorating and blinging up your shuttles. You've done such a nice job! I'd love a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteWho knows...if I did win...I might even be sending you my new address...that's right...I am moving far away to my new job! :D
