Downers Grove Lace Day

Today was the day, and I had so much fun meeting with ladies I've met through blogging! I didn't plan on taking any classes, but after seeing the projects, I wish I had!

Of course I had fun shopping for new tatting and bobbin lace supplies, which I desperately needed! ; )

  5. I'm so glad that you made the trip! Visiting was fun!
The shopping was nice, too. I bought socks with pictures of tatting shuttles on them.

  6. LOL - I'm sure you were "desperate" for supplies :) I'm afraid to even think of taking any classes on bobbin lace - I could collect the bobbins and tools just because they're pretty!

  7. Oh, I am so jealous! One day I will go to a tatting gathering! (Tat days is near me, but the timing is off for the next couple of years.)

  8. One day I hope to attend one of these "Fun Times". Guess I'll just have to plan a trip north "at the right time". (Seems when I'm up there, there just aren't any going on.)

  11. Lace Day in Downers Grove? Is this an annual event or something like that? I live in St. Louis and we don't have any lace events that I know of, but I'm pretty new to it. I'd drive a few hours for one!

  12. You are a very generous lady and was great finally meeting you. I really appreciate the shuttle thank you so much. Yes I wish I had signed up for some of those classes too. But I did have fun at the vendors!

  13. Jenn, every other year there's a lace event in Lafayette, IN and another in Downers Grove, IL. I live just about in the middle of the two, and I've managed to attend them both the last three times. They're lots of fun, because I get to meet people I've met through blogging! In two years, I'll try to remember to blog about both events in advance so that you can plan on attending!

  14. I saw the picture - you missed having lampshades!

I see colors that aren't BLUE! How did that happen?
