Yes-U-Can Doily Challenge - Tatting Progress Day 3
I managed to get the chains I wanted, but the result was a rather ripply piece! I pinned and steamed, but there's still a little bit of ripple. The good news is, I have the correct number of rings!
Wow, it looks super, Diane! Jane! :) I've been drawing it out on paper, looking, and drawing some more. I still haven't started but I have my shuttle wound and ready.... I know I can do it...I know I can do it.
I love the look of the outer rows. Somehow, now I feel that tatting has too many rings and chains and empty spaces. (ok, am feeling very listless after finishing a few big projects. For two days straight I have not done any crafting)
That looks really good. Why DIDN'T you make it in blue, though? Jane ducking and diving under the keyboard.
ReplyDeleteheeheheee @ Jane
ReplyDelete...it is looking pretty Diane
OK, so I have to admit I've been eyeing up this challenge. But I just can't do it right now! Aaarrrgh. It's looking wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLooks really nice! :)
ReplyDeleteNice!

ReplyDeleteYour doily is so beautiful. My Grandma was a whiz at looking at something and then being able to recreate it without a pattern. Happy tatting...
ReplyDeleteNeato! I like the solid effect. It contrasts nicely with the negative spaces in the center.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color!
