What did you do this morning?

I opened my package that arrived from Handy Hands yesterday. I was too tired when we got home last night, so I decided to wait until this morning so that I could fully enjoy opening my package of goodies!

Yes, ladies and gents, I ordered the new Lizbeth Thread Holder (with a free ball of Lizbeth thread) and Starlit Tatting Shuttle! Let me tell you, the thread holder is fabulous! I love the way the ball of thread spins around on the pin. The thread comes out of a hole on the side... very smoothly, I might add!

The shuttle package even has a free butterfly pattern on the back! What's a girl to do? I just had to tat a butterfly this morning!

As you can see, the Starlit shuttle is much larger than my Once Nekkid Shuttle from Karrieann.

It's also larger than my Sew Mate shuttle from Lacis.

And, it's smaller than my Tatsy. I think this could be the perfect size shuttle to wind on my beloved HDTs for Spinning Wheel glass mats! I'll try tonight and let you know.

Yes, I did indeed tat the butterfly from the shuttle package this morning. What a great way to start the day!

I think I NEED all the colors... don't you? : )

P.S. - The drawing for my blinged November shuttle will be tonight. If you're interested in a chance to win make a comment on the November shuttle post.

  1. Oh my! What a wonderful morning to start the day for you. Now, will you need a new display cabinet for the shuttles?

  3. I agree with you, Diane, what's a girl to do in the face of such goodies? Looks like you are at the forefront of tatting "technology" now... LOL

  4. Sounds like you had a great morning!!! Me, I just had a nap!! The thread holder is very interesting!! I am working on an order this week for Handy Hands and will have to add one to my order!! Keeping the thread in one place when trying to tat seating in bed will be very helpful!!

  6. I was wondering if someone had ordered one of those thread holders. I have had my eye on them for a while now. They may be very handy protecting thread from unwelcome paws-cat paws, that is. What size thread do they come with? I can't tell in your photos.

  7. Awesome!!!! All the colors ; )

Thx for sharing - I wondered about the size of the new shuttle. My guess is that it would be wonderful for beads - or something needing lots of fiber!

The Tatsy is very difficult for me to use. good to know the new shuttle is a bit smaller.

Hard to imagine being too tired to open tatting supplies --- LOL

  10. I wondered about the Starlit shuttle. Sadly, too big for my hands and I am severely limiting adding shuttles I won't tat with to my collection. Pretty colors though!

  11. *gasp* You have one in EVERY color and bi-color combo? Now I am really jealous!

I must admit, I have been saving my thread ball holder purchase until after the holidays. The waiting is agonizing! So imagine how torturous it is to see THREE (or was it FOUR?) lounging all "come hither-like" next to a complete set of new shuttles?

    AUGH!! Must buy....must buy...
