Size counts!

I love going in to my sewing room and looking at the beautiful lighted display case that Dave made for me Christmas 2010. This is most of my collection of blinged shuttles.

I'm going through my shuttles row by row, and the next two shuttles were SewMates decorated by my friend Jenny. These shuttles were loaded with size 20 Lizbeth from a long discarded project. The shuttles seemed a little large for the Sulky Blendables thread, so I decided to tat Stumpy in the size 20.

There's quite a difference in size when compared to the Sulky Blendables! I think if Chris decides to make a shuttle out of these, it will be the size of a Tatsy.

Now I can get back to my Sulky Blendables!

  3. WOW! That is very impressive. I'm not sure I would get very much done in my sewing room if I had that to look at every time I entered. It's beautiful--the display and the shuttles.

  4. What a fantastic addition to your sewing room.
Do you take any of these shuttles outside the house and work with them, or are they all "home birds?"

  6. Amazing collection of shuttles, something to die for!!! How do you hang them up in the display case?
You know, you make it look so easy to tat up those stumpys in Sulky. But its hard work! I tried. Can't see the stitches very well and sometimes the rings wont close. You did a great job with those stumpys.
    Have fun.

  11. Dave did an amazing job on your shuttle case. I'm sure it's even more impressive to see in person.

Sadly my "good" shuttles set there, wishing to be used, while I go back to my trusty clovers every time ....... Why do I don't I use them I wonder. Sad
