We did it again! Thanks to Sue Anna making the arrangements, The Tollway Tatters met at the Hinsdale Oasis for a day of tatting, chatting, sharing, and eating. Can you tell we had a great time?
Sue Anna got to take the picture, because she has the longest arms. That's Sue Anna in the front. Clockwise from Sue Anna... my friend Denise, me, Barbara, and Marilee.
We celebrated International Tatting Day one day early. Although after our discussion regarding Leap Year, maybe we met right on time!
What fun! I'm jealous....
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could meet closer to St. Paul next time . . . ?
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!
I'm so envious!!! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to celebrate, and you have adopted a name for yourselves.
ReplyDeleteHmmm .... if tatters regularly meet at a fast-food outlets, would they be called Takeaway Tatters? he he .. just kidding.
You all look so happy...great photo

The name of your group has me intrigued; do you all drive varying distances on a motorway, to meet at one of the big roadhouses?
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
How exciting!!!! Are y'all the Tie dyed tollway tatters, or was that just coincidence? :o)
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice that you all can meet up like that!!
Lovely to meet you all, You look like you were having a brilliant day.

What a nice picture. What a pleasure to see so many tatting friends all together.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun group!!!! The picture is priceless. Enjoy your day and indulge in chocolate!

Maureen, yes we do each drive and meet at a central location. Marilee and Barb drive down from Wisconsin and meet Sue Anna, who drives to the Oasis. Denise drove north to my house (a whole 3 miles!), and then we headed north to the Oasis.
ReplyDeleteJess, good eye! Sue Anna decided that we each needed a tie-dye t-shirt. I guess that makes us an official group!
It's so much fun everytime we get together! Thanks for everything, and I really enjoyed meeting Denise. Sure was nice of Sue Anna to make those t-shirts for us! I'm glad that Barb was able to come and tat split rings!
ReplyDeleteSo let me get this right, you have to be tatters, and you have to wear tie-dye t.shirts and you have to meet at a fast-food outlet and sit and tat and chat (and eat)! Can anyone join?!!!! Jons comment is great "takeaway tatters" - lovely picture you all look so happy.
ReplyDeleteYou've got it, Sally! Yes, anyone can join. Maybe you and Jane could pop in some time! ; )
ReplyDeleteSounds like once again you ladies had a good time. I'm a wee bit jealous. :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah looks like so musch fun, also with tatting ^^. Would love to have something like that here...
ReplyDeleteThat is serious fun! I spotted the tie-dye too!
ReplyDeleteIt would take me quite a bit of time to drive there, though!

I wish I could have been there. I think you all have something here--International Tatting Day weekend! I hope you are all enjoying more tatting time today.
