Nope! 60! Today is my 60th birthday and my 5 year blogaversary!
Thank you to everyone who reads my blog. Your comments keep me tatting, blinging, collecting, and having a wonderful time.
This was supposed to be a no presents birthday, but Dave surprised me with a new apothecary jar. My sister Janet had given me one for my birthday two years ago, but last summer I tripped on the rug and knocked it to the ground. Who knew glass could shatter into so many pieces?
Dave asked me if I needed to buy some more thread, because the jar is not full. No, I don't need to buy more thread... I just need to clean my sewing room, where I know there is plenty more 20, 40, and 80 Lizbeth thread... probably more than will fit in the jar!
P.S. ~ There will be a giveaway to celebrate this special day. I'm not telling what the surprise is, because it's not finished yet. A winner will be chosen from the comments to this post. The drawing will be sometime next week, once all the family has returned home and I have recovered from the celebration!
Happy Birthday Diane! You don't know me. I am one of those anonymous folks out in tat land that enjoys reading your blog and seeing your tatting. Wishing you a lovely day to celebrate all the blessings of life.

Happy 60th Birthday Diane!!! I send many wishes for a day filled with joy and tatting! I love the jar with such lovely thread!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. The jar is a neat way to store thread visibly and decoratively.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday - and I remember that first jar, because I thought it was such a wonderful idea that I had to buy a jar myself. I filled it with tiny balls of DMC
ReplyDelete80.However I discovered that it was not a good idea to screw on the lid, at least not in our climate - too much humidity. So I've left it open to allow air to circulate.
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary. May you have plenty more of both. Keep up the great tatting and that is a good idea to show off your thread. :)
