...tatting candy!
When I was on jury duty Monday, they gave us a 2 1/2 hour lunch break... not long enough to make the drive home, so I treated myself to lunch at Panera Bread and then headed to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Fabrics.
I found decorative tape at Michaels, and two packages of Clover shuttles at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's. I wonder why each store only stocks two packages at a time? Anyway, I decided to do a little blinging!
The tape wasn't quite wide enough to cover the shuttle, but I think it was close enough. The shuttles look so bright and cheerful, I decided they would look tasty in a candy dish. Don't you just want to pick one up and tat? :-)

ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty. I like Penera bread as a place to eat too!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of colorful shuttles in a candy dish! Candy for the tatter for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun...I was thinking the other day that I ought to look for a pretty dish for ny empty shuttles, now I KNOW that I NEED to...those are so pretty sitting there :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's very cool that all those stores are in the vicinity of the courthouse? A VERY productive lunch break! The tape is a great idea! Very clever and colorful! No drying time necessary!
ReplyDeletewow too cool for words. Makes me want to try that with shuttles too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day for tatting for you - first you get time to sit and tat and then you get time to shop for shuttles! They do look yummy in the dish.
ReplyDeleteEye candy - better for the waistline. Great way to display your pretty shuttles.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea using tape to bling! I have enough shuttles on my end table to fill a dish - never thought of that before :)
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to find yet another way to BLING more shuttles! You had a very successful day at your Jury Duty - tatting, shopping and even time for lunch. Great Day.
ReplyDelete...And the award for Best Non-Fattening Use of a Candy Dish is. . . .Lace-Lovin' Librarian!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously - love the idea! You did good!!
Too cute! Now would you want to actually pull out a shuttle to use - it would make the remaining shuttles a bit less colorful:)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Those are really wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou think of the best ideas for blinging shuttles. Very creative
