My goal was to finish this by Thanksgiving. I'm not sure that's possible with 32 pattern repeats and an hour and twenty minutes for each pattern repeat. It's not that there isn't enough time in the day. I probably could finish two repeats a day if my hands could hold out!
I'll just keep going. I don't really have to finish by Thanksgiving, just by Christmas Eve, and I'm confident that I can finish by then! :-)
I can totally understand!! I have a doily that I am trying to finish with 40 repeats around the outside and I have 9(I think) left to go and it will have to wait to be finished till after Thanksgiving due to many, many things to accomplish between now and then(most of which are not tatting-how sad!). Your doily will be totally awesome when finished due to the fact that it's already totally awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis doily is looking so beautiful, Diane. Be careful not to hurt your hands...that's a lot of tatting!
ReplyDeleteVery important to not overwork your wrists!
ReplyDeleteI think you can, I think you can!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a great accomplishment -- how can you stand to give it away? :) Of course, it's probably better than stuffing it in a drawer. The recipients are going to treasure it.
ReplyDeleteI guess you can aim for Thanksgiving, knowing that you do have a bit of leeway.
ReplyDeleteHey it's looking good but I know what to do with your hands after going through a hundred of those special gloves I don't wear them any more I stretch my hand out with arm extended placing palm and fingers flat against a wall fingers open gently stretch by pushing towards finger tips with arm and do that for 1 to 2 mins it really works and is a life saver I thought I could not tat again I hurt so bad. now I do this.
ReplyDeleteWell I hope you do manage it, But this English girl does not know when thanksgiving is, I now it's coming up but we don't have it in the UK.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking lovelier every time you post it.
Margaret
