Starting another doily

I couldn't help myself. I'm really into doilies right now. I've been wanting to tat Marilee Rockley's "Arches" doily for quite a while, so after school today I took the plunge!

I decided to keep tatting with the Victorian Red. Now that I have the center finished, I'm ready for Round 1!

Molly has been perfecting her chains, as well as learning to make picots.

Grace is having trouble with rings, so she decided to practice her Fancy Pants and picots for now. There's nothing wrong with practicing the familiar before moving on to something new!

  1. Practice is key to everything we ever learn. I am trying to learn French and I must do a lot of practicing just to learn one new word or phrase. Tres Bien Madame.

  4. That is a nice beginning to a doily and your student can't go wrong practicing in a way I'm still doing that:)

  6. I've always loved Marilee's Arches pattern, and it will be so pretty in Victorian red, as is your Russian doily! Really don't know how you find time to I think Grace loves cats! Her chain is excellent! They will both be ready for rings soon!
