Keeping busy

I finished round 4 of Renulek's Spring Doily. I was surprised at how long it took me to complete this round. I thought I could finish it this morning, but it took me most of the day. I don't think I'll take the picture on my ironing board again. The color looks terrible!

I blinged some more shuttles today. One of the teachers in our building brought snacks last month, and I took one of her pretty decorative napkins so that I could do a little decorating.

One small napkin was enough to cover both sides of seven shuttles... pretty good!

I finished some more alligator clips today.

These are so cute! Now I just need to find some little girls who would like to wear them in their hair!

  1. I do know the colors you are using on the doily and they are very nice it is weird how sometimes the camera views it differently. Those little hair clips are really cute I have a granddaughter that would wear some :) how much?

    1. Thank you! I do love the colors. I think it must have something to do with the time of day when I take the pictures. How much? I don't know. Do you have any suggestions? How about a swap?

  2. The button flowers look great on the alligator clips! What a great idea! I'm glad you have photos, because you won't have them very long! And you always do such a wonderful job on the shuttles! You're really moving along on both doilies!

    1. I'm a little disappointed... I only bought one package of alligator clips, and I've used them all up! I guess I'll have to go shopping again. I do have fun with the shuttles, and the kids love them!

  3. I am amazed at how much you have been creating with your tatting and crocheting button flowers and blinging shuttles. I have only been sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and schlepping over and over again with our bathroom reno. Blessings...

    1. I may be joining you in sweeping, vacuuming, dustin, and schlepping... I made the mistake of showing my Mr. C what you're up to and now he's looking at ideas for renovating our bathroom! ;-)

  4. Wish you'd stop showing us the button flowers as they're tempting me to make them too. So pretty.

    1. Ah, but I'm sure yours would be tatted! I wish I could tat faster, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't finish a tatted button flower in 10 minutes!

  10. I had to send this link to you. I saw it on another tatter's blog list and at first I thought it was your button flowers, but it's not just something similar. :)
