I really need to know, because today is the day. Yes, I'm 64!
I remember when this Beatle's song came out, I couldn't imagine ever reaching the age of 64. Of course, when the song was released I was only 15 years old. My, how time flies!
Today is also my blogaversary! I started blogging on my 55th birthday, thanks mainly to Sherry Pence aka LadyShuttleMaker, who encouraged me to start my blogging adventure.
So, I guess it's only appropriate that this week's Spinning Wheel is in one of Sherry's hand-dyed threads (Helm's Deep).
Oh, and that T.A.T. binder in the background... Sherry gets the credit for that as well. You see, she blogged about participating in the T.A.T. program, and I just had to jump on the bandwagon. Unfortunately, I did not get going with the program right away. Luckily, I have a little more free time now!

ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a fabulous glass mat!!! :)
Happy Birthday Diane!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and blogaversary! I have a binder exactly like that one, but I, too, barely got started on it. It's around here somewhere.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on both anniversaries! - you will be so busy in Retirement that there won't be enough spare hours in the day for everything you want to do.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Diane!! And congratulations on your blogversary.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! So glad you are sharing it with us and tatting.
ReplyDeleteShelly
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße von Cornelia
Hope you have a Wonderful Birthday and Happy Blogaversary!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday - and Blogaversary! Always great to read your posts! I'm still amazed at how the blogs have brought us all together. Amazing technology, especially since we 'older folks' have watched it evolve.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was difficult to relate to being 64, back when the song came out. I was 22 and married 2 years. So much time 'ahead', so it seemed! But you are a very 'young' 64 and have so much energy! So glad you are now fully enjoying retirement and your wonderful family!
Oh Happy B-day Dear and what a lovely story and of course a lovely mat with nice color!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I love that song :) and Happy Blogging Anniversary too! I have a T.A.T. Binder around here somewhere too - glad you have some time to work on it now. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on both counts! Woo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Happy Blogiversary. My daughter gave me a Beatles themed party when I turned 64 and it was super fun. Lovely hand dyed Helms Deep blue thread. Enjoy every minute of your wonderful year of more time for tatting dear.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and blog anniversary, I was 13 when that song came out and it's was a big hit, as a beetle fan (of which my parents hated their music). I played their music more and more to annoy.
ReplyDeleteDe-cluttering is good and all the memories it brought you.
I hope you had a lovely day.
Margaret
Happiest of birthdays to you, even if it's late. Please know that your blog is one of my very favorites so thank you for doing it! I love Helm's Deep color way, maybe I should order some more....
ReplyDeleteGot a great song in my head now....
