Today was the first day of school for the kids, so I made sure I was outside when the school bus passed by both morning and afternoon. It was fun to see the kids waving to me enthusiastically! And guess what? I was not at all sad that I wouldn't be joining them at school today!
I had a very busy day, so I didn't get much tatting done. I did manage to walk my 10,000 steps. In addition, I finished all the laundry, did the grocery shopping, took a nap, and I even baked cookies. I think I'm going to enjoy retirement!

Good for you! Congrats :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will enjoy retirement, a different way of working around time, but just make the most of it.
ReplyDeleteYay, waving at you with both hands \~/
ReplyDeleteI struggle to do one thousand steps, let alone ten thousand, hats off to you!! Nice to be able to wave to the children with no obligations involved!
ReplyDeleteWhen did you find time to go to school, gosh 10,000 steps, I am like Jane I would not get to a 1,000 steps.
ReplyDeleteI think you enjoyed waving to the kids, nice they waved back.
Hope every day is as good as this one
Sounds like a good day!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour glass mat is fabulous and I actually think the orange looks wonderful and autumn is coming so it will fit right into the color scheme! :)
Sounds like a great way to start retirement - just remember, you don't have to get everything done today! You have lots and lots of tomorrows to get things done. So enjoy yourself!
