Last night I remembered that I didn't post a picture of my July tatting, so I'm doing it tonight. I accomplished a lot in July!
I finished my Pink Cocoa Spinning Wheel tonight. I really like the way it turned out, and I'm enjoying tatting with size 80.
I also completed round 3 of Renulek's Napkin Marta; however, I think I will retat this round. I stretched and pressed this because of severe cupping. Now it looks all distorted. So now the big question is, do I just use larger picots between rings, or do I change the stitch count? What do you think?
I vote for longer picots! Impressive month!
ReplyDeleteLovely assortment of July tatting !!!
ReplyDeleteLove that tatting all together. I think that Renata's tatting is tight, I looked at her version in etsy, you would reduce the number of ds in the second round or tat more tight as she did. Lovely napkin.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did well in July! Hmm, altering the stitch count can be a slippery slope. I'd try altering the picot size, especially after my experience with the Teiko book, where I've realised just how important picot size can be.
ReplyDeleteFabulous display of your July tatting!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful glass mat!!! :)
I have no idea of what you should do on your coaster, but it looks great!! :)
Gosh you got a lot done in July, a wonderful display and colourful
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the picots would better larger or smaller, sometimes doing a pattern that has been designed by someone else and the way they tat can be different when you tat it. I can see where the distortion is but how to sort it, how about wetting it and repressing it, to see if the shape goes back how it should be.
An impressive collection, especially considering all of the freezing and canning you've done and the cleaning and organizing.
ReplyDeleteJuly was a good month for lots of lovely tatting! I like the pink-cocoa mat.
ReplyDeleteYour July tatting is really amazing and I love seeing it all together. Embracing Creative Bliss...
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is wonderful and make me feel you had the best summer ever!
