I started with pink thread, pink gem, pink beads, pink ribbon. Although pink is not my favorite color, I do like it!
Next I changed the gem, beads, and ribbon to purple... not bad!
I was always told that pink and red do not go together. I think I was told wrong!
So, here are my three pink experiments, front view.
And here's the back view. Pink can be fun!
About charms - I was thinking you could try to insert a charm on one of the lower 3 front rings instead of ribbon ? This will keep the gem in full view, along with most of the tatting.
ReplyDeletePink is not my favorite either, but these are certainly looking good :-) Who knows, they might turn out to be the perfect jewellery for Jane's TIAS ;-)
I have thought of that. Unfortunately, I always think of it after the tatting is well underway! The charms just aren't my focus. I actually prefer the Ice Drops without them. However, others really love them!
DeleteThose all look great, but I think I like the pink & purple best! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really pleased with the way the pink and purple one turned out!
DeleteBlue is my forever favorite color...however pink does call to me quite often. These Ice Drops are very Pretty in Pink.
ReplyDeletePink would never be on my radar if it weren't for one daughter and two granddaughters! This particular pink does nothing for me at all as a stand alone color. However, with a touch of beads and some ribbon, I don't mind it. :-)
DeletePretty in pink. And red and purple. Yes, my mother also told me that red and pink don't go together. One day I said so in an art lesson and was properly told off! Technically they do go together.
ReplyDeleteI guess I was never brave enough to speak up during art lessons! I do remember having red-headed friends who never wore pink. I also remember being totally shocked the first time I saw a red-head in pink!
DeleteVery pretty, I do like the pink best.
ReplyDeletePink, pink, pink! Is this the right blog?
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder, doesn't it? :-)
DeleteThe purple and red ribbons off the pink.
ReplyDeleteI love your pink ones, pink after all is red with white mixed into it thus we get pink. So red would go with pink.
