Thanks to Kathy, I found out that my Ice Drop pattern was voted Best New Pattern on Craftree! I've been a member for a long time, but I haven't been very good about visiting on a regular basis in the past year or so.
Thank you to all who voted for my pattern. I am surprised, flattered, and very grateful for all the interest in my little pattern. I truly am surprised at the number of people who have worked with my designs and have adapted the basic Ice Drop pattern in ways that I never could have imagined!
Today was another sub day. Tomorrow will be also. Today I chose to do three rows of picots. This Ice Drop is very fluffy! I was asked to take a picture with the light shining through. I like that the back side of the Ice Drop shows through.
Working a full week has tired me out! I think I'll go to bed early tonight.
That is an awesome Ice Drop!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue! I sure love all those picots!
DeleteCongratulations you and your ice drops deserve this 💐 I also like you holding this one up to the light!💖
ReplyDeleteThank you! Holding the Ice Drop up to the light was a request from a Craftree member, and a good one!
DeleteCongratulations, well done it's a great pattern and I am delighted,
ReplyDeleteLove the new flilly ice drop.
Thank you, Margaret!
DeleteCongratulations Diane! Hope to see you over at craftree more often, I'm hoping to be in there more this year too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fiona! I'm going to try to go there more often. I used to go one every day. I'm not sure what happened.
DeleteOh wow, congratulations! Well deserved, your pattern has really taken off.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane!
DeleteCongratulations none of us are surprised. Your designs are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grace!
DeleteCongratulations :-))) You started quite a revolution there, making cabochon tatting seem so easy. No wonder it is still going strong.
ReplyDeleteI go to Craftree occasionally now, although this year I'm making it a point to at least post pics in one 2018 album. Can't find the time to cover everything :-( Blog is my main focus.
Thank you, Muskaan! What I find most exciting is that others have come up with their own adaptations. I really enjoy seeing what others have done!
DeleteWell deserved. Great pattern and has stirred up so much interest.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth! It's been a fun ride!
DeleteCongratulations, Diane! It’s a very popular pattern. I think I mentioned before that I saw one displayed at the county fair last summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robin! Yes, you did mention seeing one at the county fair. I'm amazed at the popularity!
DeleteCongratulations! That is very exciting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, JB!
DeleteJust saw this post this evening! Glad to see all the congratulatory comments! As Muskaan says, you made the 'cabochon capture' so easy to do, and it did start a 'revolution', using those small gems that can be found easily, especially here in the USA! Every time I see them, I think of you! Also, other gems or buttons or flat discs can be substituted.
ReplyDeleteAnd all the ice drops - whether the basic one or the expanded ones - are attractive and eye-catching. You also started designing snowflakes and medallions, which can stand very nicely on their own, but are enhanced by the gems. I'm glad you are now showing some of those on Craftree, so members can see the expanded versions!
