Disney princess challenge

One of our Ice Drop Addicts members challenged us to tat an Ice Drop to represent a Disney princess.

I found these beads in my stash, and they reminded me of Elsa from Frozen.

I know it's not the right shad of blue, but I think granddaughter Sophia will love it!

I might have to make one for her sister Kara as well. They both love to stand in front of the t.v. and sing "Let It Go!"

    1. Haha! No, I don't have the second one done already. The cold weather makes me sleepy, and I fell asleep in my chair. The pattern is Bloomin' Ice Drop, originally done in spring colors.

  5. Hi Diane, What a lovely ice drop, gorgeous shade of blue. I'm still struggling as to how to tat a lock join, could you point me to some instructions please?
    Many thanks.

    1. A lock join is fairly simple, Anne. Basically, you pull the shuttle thread through the picot instead of the ball thread. Make sure the join is as you like it before pulling it snug. They can be a pain to take out! There are also YouTube videos to help you out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPLRFzT4Iu8

  6. I’m not up on Disney princesses, but your ice drop is certainly pretty! Your own princess will love it.

    1. The only reason I know who most of them are is because of my grandchildren. I never would have watched Frozen if it hadn't been for Sophia!
