A touch of red

I'm having fun putting glass gem colors with Boysenberry Dk. Today I thought I'd try red, and I like it!

My Reyna shawl (free pattern by Noora Backlund on Ravelry) is coming along nicely. I'm learning to find and fix my mistakes. Today I successfully fixed a dropped stitch and a missed yarn over without unknitting. I'm very proud of myself!

  2. Yes, the red intensifies the thread colour, lovely. With the rows getting longer, it’s a good thing to be able to fix mistakes without unraveling!

    1. I find that if I haven't done something for a while, such as knitting, it takes me a while before I can see and correct mistakes. I'm sure glad I haven't had to unravel lately!

    1. I wouldn't have thought of it without seeing Red Hat cartoons. I'm not sure I'll ever wear purple and red together, but it is fun to tat with the two colors!

  4. I wonder how red thread and burgundy thread would work together, Diane? There’s a challenge for you!!!

    1. I might take up that challenge, Jane! ...if I ever get out of my chair and walk to the other room where my thread is stashed!
