The last one

This is the last Curds & Whey bookmark for the Harry Potter club... for now! It's not the last bookmark for me, but I may explore other patterns.

This Ice Drop sat in my bag for almost a week! I tried making the little picots a different way than I have been. I much prefer my original Doodle Ice Drop pattern. This one isn't a total failure, but it's definitely not to my liking!

  1. Now I am curious what way is different? And it's still very cute😁

    1. I think it's just turned over. It doesn't really matter with this pattern, in my opinion. I don't think I could ever attempt front side/back side tatting with this one. I think I'd lose my mind trying to keep it straight!

  2. You seem to have the knack to make duplicates of patterns without burning out! You probably hold the world's record for Mary Konior's Spinning Mat! And you've gone into stratospheric numbers with Ice Drops! I simply can't make too many duplicates without getting disinterested, and I dislike taking orders. Your patience is amazing.

    1. I think I've been able to tat multiples of the patterns you've mentioned simply because they took me so long to master! If I don't tat a Spinning Wheel for a while, I do have to watch the pattern until I develop a rhythm for it again. The same goes for my Ice Drop patterns, and I'm sure it will be the same for Curds & Whey! I don't usually take orders, but this was a special circumstance!

  3. Well now you know you don’t like the picots, that’s something. Looks fine to me!

    1. Thanks, Jane! The only way we can find what works for us is to experiment, right? Yes, it looks fine; I just prefer the look of my original Doodle.
