Trying again

I decided to give the knitting calendar another chance. The scrubby looks fine, but it does not match the picture. I tried the January 5 pattern, and it was totally off. Dave asked if I was going to thrown the book out. I'm afraid that if I do, I'll for get that it was not the book for me and I'll purchase another!

Today's Doodle Ice Drop is in size 20 Lizbeth #710, Bright Blue Light. I sure am having fun going through my stash of colors!

  1. Is It possible that the images are mixed up? Have you checked to see if your sample matches another image? Just a thought.

    1. I'm sure that's the case, but I have too many other things that I'd rather be doing! I also have other stitch collections, and it will take me years to try all of those patterns. I wanted the calendar to work because of its convenient size. Maybe I should just make one of my own! ;-)

  2. Suggestion, write a note on it for yourself so that way if you go to it again you will know that it isn't exactly correct. And maybe the patterns are worth knitting even if they don't match the pictures.
I really like that pretty Ice Drop!!! :)

    1. I have been writing notes in the book. I'm disappointed that I don't have a quick and easy-to-use visual reference. That's what I bought the book for in the first place!

  3. Sue and I think alike! On the question of a note anyway. Some very bad editing there. It’s a shame.

    1. It's also frustrating that other stitch collections use the same names and have completely different instructions and pictures.
