I just finished Kara's doll! Papa held it up so that I could send Kara a picture. Kara approves... yay!
Kara's doll will wait patiently for Kara to pick her up at the end of June.
Today was the last day of school. Now it's time to get the house ready for daughter Carol's wedding in August. I will definitely take time for tatting!
What a treasure!! :)

Kara loves it already, so I'm sure it will be treasured.
DeleteWow, gorgeous doll and so much love and effort put into it 💗💗💗
ReplyDeleteThanks, muskaan. I never would have finished it without Mom here!
DeleteOh well done! Lucky Kara. Exciting to have a wedding in the offing.
ReplyDeleteKara loves it already!
DeleteSuch a delightful doll! It is sure to be treasured.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that is such a cute doll! So unique and cuddly, she is sure to be much loved.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for your daughter Carol's wedding!
Thanks, Marilee! The doll is from a pattern that Mom had from the early 80s. The first one made was for daughter Alison. I loved it so much, Mom made one for me. Kara has been taking care of my doll until hers could be finished.
DeleteWhat a lovely doll! I hope she plays with it nicely and passes it down to HER granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she will! Kara is one of those kids who plays with her dolls like they are real babies. She wanted Joanne to driver her down to get it today. It's only a 7 - 9 hour drive one way, depending on traffic!
DeleteThe doll is much bigger than I expected. A work of love.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting it to be so big, either! I have a couple of other doll patterns, but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for another doll just yet!
