I spent a lot of time working on the first corner of my Concentric Rectangles doily yesterday. I get so confused turning the corners on rectangular and square pieces. Even though I checked the diagram multiple times before tatting each ring and chain, I wound up taking out three or four rings to get this corner right.
I hope the next corner goes more smoothly!
Good luck with the next one. Sounds mind boggling!
ReplyDeleteI get confused also. I've been told a trick is to hold a mirror on the diagonal so that you can see what you just tatted reflected in the direction you should go. I just don't see it yet. I'll keep trying!
ReplyDeleteI hope your second corner goes more smoothly.
Oh my stars - corner looks like a BIG challenge. Luck to you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Does Shelley Perreault have a blog? or web page? I've seen her name out there for teaching at tatting events (etc).
ReplyDeleteYes, Shelley does have a blog, but she hasn't updated it in several years. https://prairielacetatter.blogspot.com
DeleteIt looks fabulous and I am so glad you got it figured out!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy mind would have to break it down from the starting point saying 2 rings(meaning separate), then a clover, 2 rings(separate) then a clover). ;) Maybe that will help....maybe.
