Daughter Joanne has been bugging me about posting on my blog. She reminded me again that I haven't posted since Tuesday. Since her baby is due any day, I guess I should do my best to keep her happy!
This is #1 in size 20 Lizbeth #149, Peacock Blues. It measures 1 1/2" across.
I'm making progress on the second side of the beaded bag. For those of you who are interested, the pattern can be found in Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of Crochet, a fantastic crochet reference!
I have started the next round of Doily VI from Tatted Treasures by Jan Stawasz. I hope that with having the week off for spring break I'll be able to make more progress with this beautiful doily!
I needed something simple to take in the car yesterday, so I decided to once again set a goal of tatting all 69 motifs from Minitats by Patti Duff.

I thought I recognized that pattern! That really is one fantastic crochet book - one of the best.
ReplyDeleteI sold mine when I ditched crochet for tatting! Call me impulsive, but I sold all my crochet books ( I had a big library) except my hooks and was ale to buy shuttles and tatting supplies with the profit. So call me enterprising instead!
Your beaded bag is truly lovely. Looks just as perfect as the one in the book!

Lovely bag, It's looking beautiful,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful doily, looking lovely as far, looking forward to seeing it when you have finished it, the book is on my wish list hopefully it won't be long before I can get it.

I love that Lizbeth colourway. Here's to lots of time for tatting and crocheting. Have a happy Spring Break!
ReplyDeleteDid you tat all 69 motifs the first time, Diane?
ReplyDeleteMinitats are addictive aren't they? I just wish that I had worked in the ends as I went along. About half of mine are waiting for the ends to be worked in. It's so hard to stop making them though! Just one more...
ReplyDeleteWonderful to have such different projects on the go at once, so you can pick the one right for the moment.
