...is always a possibility when using a partially filled shuttle!
My shuttle is rewound and I'm ready to finish the bottom of the cross. This one's taking me a long time, because I'm just not catching on to the pattern. It's not difficult, it just requires my very close attention so that I don't lose my place in the pattern!

Hmmm I waste a lot of thread because I have an inordinate amount of fear of running out of thread so I fill up those shuttles and then have way too much left!

Patterns like that stretch the brain - I'm currently tatting a design that requires full concentration, and I can sit with it for only a short period at a time. Satisfying, though, when I get it right in small pieces.
ReplyDeleteHow do you find the new Grizzly Mountain Handi-Wind? - I had a look this morning, but they seem rather bulky to me - are they good to use?
Looks beautiful so far!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI was worried for a moment when I read that title! Now, I carefully write down how much thread for any pattern so the next time I know how much.
ReplyDeleteI think we have all been there at sometime or another, it's hard sometimes to judge just how much thread something will take. I hope you have enough to finish it, it looks a love colour and pattern.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward too edging it finished.

When you make your spinning wheels, do you use one of your big shuttles? I'm trying it this time. I'm not sure how it will go at the end.
