Ornaments and bookmarks

I started the morning with a button ornament.

Then I decided to tat a Workbasket bookmark.

I followed up with "Christina" from Tatted Bookmarks ~ cross-shaped by Lene Bjorn.

I had decided I really wanted to complete three button ornaments today.

I was very pleased to achieve my goal!

Reading day

Today was another reading day. I couldn't help myself. Last week I binge watched season 7 of Bosch, and then I decided to look up information on the book series. I tried, unsuccessfully, to download a sample copy of The Black Echo to my Kindle. The paperback copy was cheaper than the Kindle version, so I went ahead and ordered it. I'm glad I did! I'm already halfway through the book. I'm not sure that I'll read all 22 books in the series, but I am enjoying the first one!

I did take time to tat two donut ornaments today.

I think tomorrow may be a button day!

Gardening

Today was a gardening day. Dave and I headed out early to pick up some trees, shrubs, and perennials that we had ordered, and then we headed over to daughter Carol's house for a morning of gardening. In the afternoon, the gardening took place at our house. Don't be deceived... I just watch!

While Dave worked in the garden at our house, I worked on button ornaments.

I did choose to work with a different pattern today.

However, I am still working with size 40 Lizbeth Red Burst.

What's this? A mistake? Yes, it is. I started tatting with the old pattern. I guess old habits die hard!

More button ornaments

Today was another beautiful day! Mom knitted. Dave gardened. I tatted. Life is good!

I did it again!

I spent most of the day tatting with size 40 Lizbeth Red Burst. There's not much to say. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Red Burst

I had lots of running around to do today, but I still found time to tat!

I wasn't thrilled with Red Burst when I first saw it, but now that I'm working with it I really like it.

I'm keeping my tatting simple so that I can finish more ornaments. Believe it or not, I am not getting bored!

A productive day

It was pretty warm out today, so I stayed inside and tatted... a lot!

Last week when I was sorting through my craft supplies, I found my stash of doodads from way back in 2012. Has it really been that long?

I remember sharing doodads with others. Even with that, I still have quite a few!

Another thing I found was a packet of tiddly winks. I loved playing tiddly winks when I was in elementary school. Now I think they make great centers for tatted ornaments!

I do remember buying these rings. They reminded me of Celtic knots, and I'm fascinated by Celtic designs.

These rings are not quite round, and they're highly textured. I think they make great ornaments!
