Sisters

My sister Janet came to visit for the weekend. So far we've spent a lot of time reminiscing with Mom, but we've also done a little shopping and a little dining out. Sisters are truly lifelong friends. We share memories that no one else has of our childhoods, and there are so many wonderful memories!

Believe it or not, I even found a little time for tatting!

Day off

Mom wasn't feeling up to shopping and lunch today, so we decided to postpone. It really was a very low key day, and the only thing I managed to accomplish was making one button ornament.

White on white sure looks nice!

Black, white, and grey

Brooke wanted a grey hat. I'm not fond of grey, but this one wasn't too bad. It doesn't show well in the picture, but it's a combination of three shades of grey.

Today's button was black and I almost didn't use it. The white and black are striking, but not my favorite.

I don't have to work tomorrow, so Mom and I are planning a trip to Hobby Lobby as well as lunch out. It should be a fun day!

Another ornament and hat

Today's button ornament is another shade of yellow. I think it's pretty!

I finished a new hat for Leticia today. The last one was way too big for her. This one fits perfectly!

Tuesday tatting

Mmm... this one reminds me of a lemon drop!

I finished Camryn's hat today. I'm not a fan of pale pink, but Camryn loves this color and I think it will look good on her.

On to the next hat!

Dreamsicle

Is it wrong that when I look at this I crave a Dreamsicle? I think not!

I finished Jaden's hat this morning, and it fit him well. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it. I guess I can't remember everything!

A scarf for Larry

Yesterday was another family day. My sister and brother came down for a visit. We had great fun reminiscing about life in Philadelphia and Elmhurst, two great places to live when I was a kid.

Another ornament has been added to my tree. I'm very pleased that I will have enough tatted ornaments for all my family and friends next Christmas.

I'm still crocheting hats for the kids at school, but Larry didn't want a hat. He asked for a scarf. I must have tried five or six different patterns, none of which were to my liking. I finally settled on a simple back loop double crochet. I think Larry will like it!
