It took me a while, but I've finally decided which of the four Tatsy shuttles to keep for myself, and which three should be shared. This was a very difficult choice! Red is my mom's favorite color. Blue is my favorite color. The amber shuttle just plain looks cool!
Why Tatsy shuttles? I love them! They're perfect for winding a skein of HDT. If I'm working on a large piece, such as a doily, I don't have to join new thread as often, if at all. They're perfect for my beloved Spinning Wheel glass mat!
Yes, they can be cumbersome, and they do slow me down a lot! However, I am not, and have no desire to be, a speed tatter.
So, this holiday season I want to share my love of Tatsy shuttles with three lucky people. This will be another quick draw... tonight! So, if you're at all interested, please make sure you post a comment today!
I would love to have one of those shuttles! I own only small Clover shuttles, so the bigger one would be handy!
ReplyDeleteMe, me, me .....
ReplyDeleteLooking at the Tatsy, I know it will be slightly big to be used for my normal tatting. But, I just need one for my collection. And it being from the Librarian, now that is precious.
I'm not sure I'm coordinated enough to work with a tatsy, but I'd give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance.
Happy Friday!
Pick me! Pick me! *jumps up and down*
ReplyDeleteThey all look lovely! :)
The decorated Tatsy would be so colorful for demonsatrations! Put my name in the hat, please.
ReplyDeleteI use the Clover and Susan Bates shuttles (similar to the Clover) and have used the larger Tatsy when using larger threads. I do miss the point on them, but as you said they work when working on larger items - less joining of threads.
ReplyDeleteI've got one very ancient Tatsy shuttle which I use when demonstrating tatting and for teaching them how to form the ds. These that you have customised are megga fantastic.
ReplyDeletejust love what you have done to them. well done. i want one.PLEASE.
ReplyDeleteI almost wanted to enter this as they are so pretty. But I just remembered that I needle tat.
ReplyDeletePhew lucky escape that!

I own just two little cheapy bobbin shuttles, so one of those would be a great addition. Love what you've done with them....me please and thank you.
ReplyDeleteI would love one of your decorated Tatsys! A Tatsy was the very fist shuttle I bought, when I began to learn, and, surprisingly, it always felt very comfortable in my hand. I don't tat fast either, I've always thought it was a good thing, to have one area of my life in which there is no pressure to hurry!
ReplyDeleteI would love to own one of these beautiful shuttles. Thanks for giving me the chance.

...never had tried a Tatsy... yet... I do like my Sew-Mates because it hold more than the Clovers.. so I can understand your feelings on the Tatsy!
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty with the decorations on them. I wonder, does it make the sides smoother and make it easier to tat with them? I find that the thread sometimes runs into the markings on the side for me when I'm using mine. But I do like not having ends to worry about since I still haven't gotten good at hiding ends.
ReplyDeleteI would love to take part in this draw (if I am even eligible after all you've already done for me).
ooh! I've never seen a Tatsy and am so curious about how they feel to tat with. I would love to win this one and find out! :D
ReplyDeleteThose are all so pretty! I only use my Tatsy with large cord as a teaching tool. I don't know that I could manipulate that monster and actually make anything. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteHowever DON'T enter me in your drawing because I just won something in your other drawing, and I don't want to appear greedy (even if I am).
I love the pattern you've used! I've never worked with a Tatsy.
ReplyDeletePlease include me!
ReplyDeleteThey are soooooo pretty. Please include me.
ReplyDeleteWow I have never seen a decorated tatsy. Great for bead tatting I should think.
ReplyDeleteHappy tatting
Josie
Ooooooh, pretty! I'd love to be entered in your drawing. Yes Tatsy shuttles are big but they sure hold a ton of thread. I like 'em.

I love them they are so so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have never tatted with such a large shuttle, i would love a chance to own a large lovely hand blinged shuttle :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the Tatsy shuttles - I use them in teaching and/or demonstrating, because people can see them. I use size 3 or larger pearl cotton for this.
ReplyDeleteThey totally rock for holding HDT! They're also great if you're working off a large ball of thread and want to take your tatting with you - -
I would like to enter please. I know I am a needle tatter but I just might think of changing at if I win!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty all of them!! :))
ReplyDeleteSOOOO glad I'm out of Louisiana Hot Sauce! Dinner is delayed while hubby gets some more and I'm cruising the internet. Please enter me - they are SO pretty!
ReplyDelete:) Ann
These looks great. Maybe they can help me learn to shuttle tat :)
