I was so happy to finish my Spinning Wheel glass mat today. With all the activity last week, I didn't think I'd ever finish it! The pattern is from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior. The thread is size 20 Pond hand-dyed thread from Yarnplayer. Have I mentioned how much I love hand-dyed thread?
Besides finishing this beautiful Spinning Wheel, my day was filled with mundane tasks. I loved it! Who would think that there could be so much pleasure gained from washing dishes, doing laundry, and sweeping the porch? I approached everything I did at a leisurely pace. I think I'm going to enjoy retirement!
That looks wonderful!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think your glass mats are an awesome way to display beautiful colors!!! :)
Thanks, Sue! I agree. I guess that's why I love this pattern so much!
ReplyDeleteOh, I think that's my favourite one! I'm glad you've got off to a good start. Yes, these tasks are more pleasurable when you don't have to hurry them.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it and love your attitude you tat well and give great words to live by :)
ReplyDeleteLove that pattern and love the thread too. I need to post my spinning wheel mats as I also have several as well as some variations on the pattern with more repeats. It's a fun tat!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour way, I love that Pond HDT. How many of these spinning wheel mats do you think you've made so far? Have you kept tabs? :-)
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous colourway !!!
