Today was one of those days when I couldn't decide what I wanted to do, so I went back to the basic Ice Drop. It had to be a little bit fancy, so I added loads of picots. I do love frills!
I also love my little Halloween shuttle from Rita Richmond of Shuttle by Design. I see no reason to use it only in October!
My Reyna shawl is coming along nicely. I did have to unknit two rows three times. Each time I made the same mistake. Somehow I added a yarn over on the purl row. Unknitting a lace pattern is a lesson in patience!
Your basic frills looks great!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are making wonderful progress on your newest shawl!! :)
Thanks, Sue! The shawl is moving along!
DeleteThumbs up for frills! I like the colour of this shawl better than the multicolour one. Can’t you just drop an extra yarn over without undoing?
ReplyDeleteI also prefer this color. I think the color changes in the Mandala work much better in an afghan. Yes, I could just drop the extra yarn over... if I could see it! With all three mistakes, I couldn't see what I had done until I had unknit back to the mistake. Then it just jumped out at me! I guess that's because I don't knit very often. That will be remedied, because I am determined to keep whittling down my yarn stash!
DeleteThe ice drop reminds me a bit of one of the “twenty-four snowflakes”. I can see an adaptation.... yours is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI know the one you mean! I'll have to pull out my copy and see what I can do!
DeleteVery lovely work on both🌹
ReplyDeleteBLUEtiful Ice Drop Dear. Of course you should use your “Halloween” shuttle any time. Love your shawl but I agree about unknitting and patience. Me and knitting are trying to be friends.
