I had the day off from school, so my sister Janet came to visit today. Mom had finished a quilt top for her, and we went to the quilt shop to choose a backing and to have it machine quilted. We stopped at daughter Carol's house for lunch, and then headed home for a leisurely afternoon. While we visited, I worked on my latest Granny Rectangle. I do love how quickly this pattern works up!
Before Janet arrived, I managed to tat one button ornament with one of my newest shuttles from Rita Richmond of Shuttle by Design. I also started Button Love Heart from Button Jar Tatting by Martha Ess. However, I messed it up, snipped it off, and resolved to try again tomorrow!
I wondered what your mum’s been up to. Sounds a lovely day. I do like the pink button ornament, delicious colour.
ReplyDeleteMom has been knitting on her Orenburg warm shawl in addition to piecing a quilt top for Janet. She's also been reading lots of books!
DeleteYou sure are on a roll with those rectangles!!! :) I love the blue with the colors in it!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are still on a roll with your buttons, and I believe just like you are the Ice Drop Queen, you are also the Tatted Button Ornament Queen!!! :)
Haha! I'm just having fun, Sue!
