The Dorset Crosswheel and Mite are basically the same pattern, but the Mite is much smaller. At first I thought I had read the pattern incorrectly, but I hadn't. I do like the way it looks!
I must admit to having suffered a mild addiction to Dorset buttons thanks to you, Diane!!! Another friend has made them too and put them together in a necklace which is stunning. I love your attempts at the different patterns for them and may even go back to them after my current tatting project is done and dusted!!!
Funny you should mention a necklace... I was thinking of making a necklace with matching bracelet. Trying the different patterns has been very enjoyable, and I'm very happy when I can add tatting. I may have to put up an extra tree or two this Christmas!
Interesting. There are some teeny tiny buttons on my paperweight. I didn’t realise they’d have different names.
ReplyDeleteI guess in the end they're all buttons!
DeleteAll of your buttons and ornaments look great!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue!
