Eva's lace
Yesterday Dave and I went to daughter Alison's house to help apply primer to the walls of their new room addition. Dave helped; I sat on the couch and watched Finding Nemo with the kids. Before we watched the movie, five-year-old Eva made her bed and cleaned her room and wanted me to see what she had done. She was very proud of herself! When I was in her room, she wanted to show off her treasure box. It was great! She had saved little scraps of fabric from some of Alison's sewing projects, some fabric yo-yos, and some of my tatting practice pieces. Eva handled each piece lovingly! I think she might be a future tatter!

Good job! Get 'em interested young. I hope she asks you to teach her one of these days.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so cool! Sounds like she is showing appreciation for it, so will definitely want to learn lots when she is ready.
ReplyDeleteYou have such neat experiences... but I imagine you are the one that 'creates' them! You made some fun out of the bad when you couldn't tat for some time..... and now, you are instilling an appreciation for beauty in your granddaughter! Well done! :)
ReplyDeleteI can just picture it! This is so precious!
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so sweet! When your hand is better you should tat her something special just for her!
